As one of the oldest councils in the Knoxville area, the diverse group of Catholic brothers within Council #5207 have spent many years performing numerous charitable acts within the parish and Knoxville community.
In celebration of this, the Knights of Columbus Council #5207 had a joyous evening of fellowship at a dinner at Rothchild's Catering and Conference Center honoring its 60th Anniversary on October 10, 2021. This beautiful dinner event was graciously put together by Russ and Cindy Carvin. Their extraordinary effort made this such a special evening for everyone.
We were truly blessed to have many members, new and old, along with their families able to attend this special evening. There were several stories shared and recognitions taken place. Special guests included His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali and the Most Reverend Bishop Richard Stika. During the evening, our Grand Knight Chris Manning had the privilege of announcing the Knight of the Year, Jay Coatney, and the Family of the Year, the Jabaley Family.
Later in the evening, a challenge was thrown down and a dance contest took place between council member Brendan Walsh and Danna Shepherd. Someone in particular did not stand a chance of winning.
The council would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to each of its members and their families. The charitable contributions and volunteering that the council has been able to accomplish over the past 60 years could not have been done without the faithful efforts of each family.
